Good afternoon,

Our game tomorrow has been canceled. The Kent Island  team recently played against another team that has had a child or parent test positive for COVID so they are out for 2 weeks. Their coach asked if we were willing to make up the game in the future and I agreed to do so. I will update you once that has been established. We will still have practice today 5-7pm as it looks like the rain will hold off until later. Please stay close by to pick up your son just in case.

Good morning,

I was very impressed with the boys yesterday. We were aggressive at the plate and that produced 11 runs in 4 innings. Every player reached base at least once. We aslo had solid pitching and fielding to keep the Cubs at bay.

Since Broadneck Park #3 will be used for games on Tuesday nights we had to move our practice day to Fridays. We will practice every Friday 5-7pm at Brodneck #3.

Our first game is this Saturday at 9am Broadeck #3. I would like to have a mini BP session starting at 8:15am. I know the prospect of being at the field for 3+ hours may be a challenge for some so I understand if you wont be there by 8:15am. But I do need to know as far in advance if your son will miss a game. I will try to have my lineups done before Thursday every week. It just makes life easier for me. I understand things come up but please let me know as soon as you can.

Good morning,

We have a scrimmage against the BBSC Cubs on Tuesday at Broadneck park #3. Please be there by 5pm for batting practice. The game will start at 5:30. Hope to wrap it up around 7pm. At the end of the games or practices I will have a brief discussion with the boys. I incourage parents/guardians to come close enough to hear the discussion and participate if you would like.
 

I have most of the uniforms for the team. There is one missing and a problem with a parent ordered jersey. I will discuss that at the game with those affected. There will be a white grocery bag with a last name on it behind our dugout during the game. Please grab and verify that there are no issues with the uniforms. Should be a hat, numbered jersey, pants, belt and socks in the bag. Inside the bag should be the same name on a piece of paper, please just verify that in case there are issues with reading name on outside of bag. Sorry I don't have the best sharpie handwriting!

The schedule for the season has not been completed yet. I will update once I have that.

Tryouts for the BBSC 15U tournament team are on 4/18, 5-6:30pm at Arnold Park #4. I truly incourage our whole team to try out. I think with the talent I have seen so far every kid has a chance to make this team. I will be coaching the team but have little to no input on who makes the team. BBSC has a committee that will ultimately select the team. The only details I have so far is there are 2 back to back tournaments mid June to the end of June. If you have any questions about the tournament team please contact me via email or we can discuss in person.
 

I am going to start using the team snap app and you will receive an invite to join. It will be much easier to use than the current method of using BBSC's email system. Please let me know if there are any concerns with this.
